ABOUT

1990-2005, not much happened.

In 2006, I did a dumb doodle whilst bored in school.

Since then, I have been drawing and doing designs both for entertainment and as a hobby before moving on to taking it to a far more serious level. My work tends to be inspired by a mix of 90’s cartoons, comics such as THE BEANO but also the propaganda art of the Soviet Union era and more recently, the twisted art of Ralph Steadman and Gerald Scarfe.

My styles consist mainly of original ideas and posters for mock events, film and TV shows but it’s drawing my own characters of which I really enjoy the most, Drawing has given me a chance to truly help express myself and help overcome difficult choices in deciding what my skills actually are. Whilst I have no desire to have my own TV show or game, I wish to go into storybook illustrations.

In 2015, I visited the remains of Chernobyl. The graffiti I saw there became a huge inspiration for where I wanted to go with my style and ever since, I’ve been slowly basing my style upon the sort of drawings and buildings I saw in that ghost town, such as smooth lineless shapes and big bright colours.

I'm always experimenting with different techniques and ideas so my stuff is always all over the place in terms of design and quality so something will always be better or worse than a past attempt.

In 2020, I got my first proper gig doing illustrations for a travelouge article on the website "Gonzo Today". Other works include doing wedding evites and a mass produced poster for a College for their freshers week.

I use Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop CS2 for all my stuff, that and

Maximum Effort.
